The pre-alarm plays 30min before you really want to get up (you can change that). If the pre-alarm wakes you up, you will be more refreshed than if you had slept until the main alarm because at that time you would have fallen back into deep sleep. Give it a try and I am sure you won't want to miss it anymore.

Of course, the app has all the usual features of a great alarm clock:

It can switch to a night display automatically when docking the phone. It can automatically shorten the snooze time with each time you press snooze. It can automatically create playlists of your favorite artist or genre. And it allows you to change colors, fonts, and backgrounds.

I decided to code this app when I bought my Galaxy Nexus: this device doesn't have any physical button on the front screen. Being a quite huge phone, it's quite difficult to press the "turn off" button every time I wanted to turn it off and on. So I needed a way to turn the screen off every time I put it into the pockets and off when removed.

************ HOW IT WORKS *************

The app itself is a toggle button, to switch it on just press the App Icon. Then every time you put the phone into your pockets the screen turns off.

If you put the smartphone upside down on the table, the screen turns automatically off.

NOTE: It doesn't lock the screen (just like in a call)

************ REQUIREMENTS *************

In order to use Smart Screen Off, you need to have a phone with Proximity Sensor (nowadays every smartphone incorporates one).

- Is not possible to introduce a Timer (impossible to calculate how long the sensor has been covered in order to screen off after a user defined amount of time)!

- Is not possible to change the sensibility of the sensor due to the Hardware and SDK limitations (at least without root)!

- If you use Task Killers or Memory Cleaner, remember to add Smart Screen Off to exceptions!

GAMEPLAY

The goal is to pocket all your assigned balls and the last black. Your balls are assigned when one of the player pocket the first ball.
You can have the Highs(solid-colored balls) or the Lows(striped balls), there is no specific order to pocket the balls, you just have to end with the black.
There is a FOUL if you hit your opponent’s balls before any of your own ball, if you don’t touch any ball during a shoot and if you pocket one of your opponent balls. When there is a FOUL, the other player have 2 visits, it means he can play 2 times if he doesn’t pocket any ball.

Unlike other tools, BigBrother records historical information about processes running on your phone. You can configure the length of the information capture. You can store and review up to 100 captures.
BigBrother will even automatically begin recording information when an application exceed the set thresholds for CPU over a specified time interval.
You can use the information stored over time to identify trends in application behavior and to identify processes that utilize too many resources over a period of time.

BigBrother is capable of manual and automatic captures or snapshots. The app can automatically start a snapshot capture of what processes are running and what amount of resources they are consuming.

The app also allows you to graph each process captured in the snapshot and you can graph the CPU, the memory and the battery drain.

The app also allows you to kill the process as well as O/S processes if your phone is rooted, otherwise it will kill only user processes.
The app only uses about 4% of the phone’s CPU to run in background monitoring mode and about 8% when capturing data.
BigBrother will help you identify processes which slow down your phone over time

 Around Sound Pro allows you to listen to music and still be aware of your surroundings.
   What it does:

*PRO Version ONLY* Street Mode: 
+Walk down the street and only hear the noises above the set trigger level. Never interrupts your music.

Pause Music Mode: 
+Uses your headset’s microphone to listen for loud noises and pause your music if one is detected, then play back the sound that triggered the pause and continues for a short period of time the optionally resumes your music.

Where would I use it?  
+At the of*fice: pause your music automatically when someone is trying to get your attention
  +At home: Don’t miss door slams, children crying, your dog barking, or other warning signs  
+At the airport: Relax at the gate and have your music pause when the gate announcements start  
+Anywhere relatively quiet where you want to know if something happens around you

Best to use with:
  Sound isolating earbud headphones with mic
- These are practically earplugs now, so don’t miss out on what’s around you. 

You can use it with just headphones but be aware the microphone used is now your phone. So leaving it in your pocket wouldn’t work so well.

How to use:
  Make sure your headset is plugged in.
 Simply start the app, push Start, see the noise level around you, set the trigger level by using your finger to swipe the meter, hit the home button to access your music app and enjoy.
Permissions Needed:
  Phone Calls: Read Phone status (shuts off the audio processing during calls) 
Hardware Controls: Audio Settings, Record Audio (to use the microphone, no audio is ever stored)

Limitations:  
-Needs Froyo or Gingerbread (Android version 2.2 or 2.3)
  -ICS emulator crashes on my computer so I don’t know if it works yet
  -Portrait Mode Only for now… Sorry Tablets  
-For Pause Music Mode: You can’t be in a really loud environment otherwise the microphone input will be maxed out and there is no way to detect a louder sound. Use
Street Mode instead

Compatibility:
I develop on a Samsung Galaxy Note using Samsung default music player and pause works without killing the notification bar control or lockscreen control. Recommended.
DoubleTwist: Pause and Resume Works. Pause Only-works but stops the music and the notification bar service.

Pro Amp:
Pause and Resume work but have to set option:
Settings-> Audio Engine -> Audio Focus Change -> Check “Short Audio Focus Change”

HOW TO PLAY:

Swing your device while hanging on the vine to gain speed.

Tap or Click exactly where you want to jump. Wait for Mac to be swinging to the same direction you’re going.

Tap again while in the air to make Mac jump a second time and fly faster. You can tap many times before you reach another vine and change direction while in the air.

Get the pepper to boost speed or the feather to change gravity. The mushroom will slow down time and the 1UP Mac head icon will give you one more life.

Collect as many coins in your way as you can and reach the treasure chest to proceed to the next level. Avoid falling in the river, since that will cost you 1UP. If you run out of lifes you will have to restart the level and every coin will go back to place.

Make sure your device’s accelerometer is calibrated. Some models requires to change the game options ‘Sensor Orientation’ (Landscape or Portrait) in the pause menu.
